In April 2016, he became the youngest foreigner to score in the Bundesliga. Later that month, he became the youngest player to score two goals in the Bundesliga.[8] On May 28, 2016, a few months before his eighteenth birthday, he scored a goal in an international friendly against Bolivia and became the youngest player in the modern era to score for the United States. On September 2, 2016, he became the youngest American player to score a goal in World Cup qualifying history at the age of 17.Pulisic played for the United States at under-15 and under-17 level, before making his debut for the senior national team in March 2016 at the age of 17.

 

He is the youngest player ever to captain the United States national team in the modern era.[17] He reached the final of the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where he was named the tournament's best young player. He won the CONCACAF Nations League in 2021 and 2023, as well as winning the best player award in the latter. Individually, he has won the U.S. Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year and three-time U.S. Champion. Soccer Male Athlete of the Year. He was nicknamed the "face" of American football.[18]
