LAFC Edges Out Austin FC in a Thrilling 2-1 Victory
Los Angeles, February 26, 2025 – Los Angeles FC secured a crucial 2-1 win over Austin FC in an intense Major League Soccer (MLS) clash at BMO Stadium on Tuesday night.
LAFC started the match aggressively, pressing high and controlling possession. Their early efforts paid off in the 23rd minute when Carlos Vela curled in a brilliant shot from outside the box, giving the home side a 1-0 lead.
Austin FC responded well and gradually grew into the game. Their persistence was rewarded in the 56th minute when Sebastián Driussi capitalized on a defensive error to equalize.
However, LAFC was determined to claim all three points. In the 83rd minute, Denis Bouanga netted the decisive goal with a powerful header off a well-delivered cross from Diego Palacios.
